First time we heard about the Panasonic AG-AF100 was in April! Now there are some really good new facts out about this camera. Panasonic’s new camera (chip comes from Panasonic GH1 DSLR) will shoot AVCHD at 1080p and 720p at frame rates of 59.94, 50, 29.97, 25 or 23.98. The camera will also have XLR and HD-SDI sockets! Wow! You will be able to use Nanoflash or AJA KiPro box and record your video in extreme high data rates. THIS is amazing! AND: This camera will have a multi mount solution! A very wide variety of lenses for digital SLR cameras can be used to shoot movies! It is also possible to use an adapter and mount 35 mm PL-lenses on it! Now I want to have this camera! Now Sony will start his own “Cinema Look” Camera for prosumer this fall! Here is the press-statement: “Sony is developing a new type of AVCHD high definition camcorder which features key technologies powering the newly announced interchangeable lens digital camera, “NEX-5” and “NEX-3″ and plans to sell the new HD camcorder in fall 2010.” “The new camcorder will be equipped with the same “Exmor” APS HD CMOS sensor to be used in “NEX-5” and “NEX-3.” In addition, the camcorder will be compatible with “E-mount” interchangeable lenses developed for “NEX-5” and “NEX-3”, and also the wealth of “A-mount” interchangeable lenses from the existing “α” DSLR camera lineup via a mount adaptor. By combining these features, Sony aims to market a camcorder capable of generating a variety of creative expressions in full HD quality.” Here you can watch a video about the Interchangeable Lens Sony HD Camcorder:
