Now it is official! Canon announces the EOS 60D. I wrote about it two days ago, now Canon published a press release. If you want to see the leaked pictures of the 60D, just read this entry on my blog! Here are the facts about the Canon 60D: 18 MP APS-C CMOS sensor Advanced creative features with Basic + Vari-angle 7.7cm (3.0”) 3:2 ratio LCD Full HD movies with manual control DIGIC 4 ISO 100-6400, H:12800 5.3fps shooting for up to 58 JPEGs 9-point cross type AF System iFCL metering with 63-zone Dual-layer Sensor Integrated Speedlite transmitter In-camera RAW processing I hope this camera will have some new improvements in video-mode, but no details about that are out yet. We have to wait for Photokina and first reviews…I don’t know how much this camera will cost, but I heard about round about $ 1.000. Update: Now you can preorder the Canon 60D at Amazon.com! Here you can read the boring press release: London, UK, 26th August 2010 – Canon today announces the latest addition to its world-famous EOS series of Digital SLR (DSLR) cameras – the new EOS 60D. Replacing the EOS 50D, the EOS 60D is designed for photographers…
This would be awesome! CanonRumors uploaded some pictures of the new Canon 60D. No Photoshop, just real. On the pictures you can see the actual camera being tested. You also can see, that it is possible to flip the display like the one of the Panasonic GH1. The camera has the same handy wheel with a set button like the Canon 7D and a video record button. We have to wait for Photokina in Cologne this September, there we will get all information about the new cameras of Canon. Many stores have listed the Canon 60D on their stock inventory for the 22nd September. Canon has also to be motivated to integrate their continuous AF in video mode into their upcoming cameras (I don’t need this feature, but perhaps it is great for some Steadicam shots), because Nikon will support this feature in their upcoming Nikon D3100 too. But the biggest rumor is RAW video! I don’t believe in it, it would be paradise on planet earth! The New Canon 1DS Mark IV perhaps will support RAW video. The new full frame camera will have DIGIC 5, a low light sensor in it with lower megapixel count as the D3S….
