First impression: Canon 100mm 2.8 L IS macro lens

November 10, 2010

A short test clip with the Canon 100 mm 2.8 L IS Macro lens.

Shot w/ Canon 7D 720p / 50fps.
Slowed down in Cinema Tools to 25fps. Graded in Apple Color.

My first impression:
This lens is amazing! Stunning pictures, you can film handheld with it because of it’s stabilization mode. I figured out it’s really hard to pull focus with it. I would recommend an external monitor for better results!
