Longer write-up about Nikon D4 and Nikon D800 coming soon! Shot in Istanbul with the Nikon D4 and D800. Everything until the timelapse was shot with the Nikon D4, very soft if you are using the full frame sensor, very sharp in crop mode! I used the D800 after the timelapse shot! Very happy with the results. D800 is very sharp. Everything recorded internally! Graded in 20 minutes with Davinci Resolve Lite. Music: Brian Tyler – Coming of Age
Finally it’s online. My very first narrative short film. I’m not able to write an extensive blog post right now, because I’m fighting against the jetlag in my hotel room in Las Vegas. This short film was shot with the new Carl Zeiss Compact Primes CP.2 Super Speed lenses! We shot the whole piece in three days with only three lenses: The 35mm 1.5, 50mm 1.5 and the 85mm 1.5. Hope you enjoy it, I also added a very long and hopefully interesting making of video! TUMULUS BTS from Sebastian Wiegärtner on Vimeo.

I also used a KiPro Mini and recorded at 4:2:2 10-Bit ProRes HQ. S-Log is a great feature and worth every penny. It’s like buying a new sensor for the F3 – it simple doubles the sensitivity of the sensor.
